Mac pdf toolkit links not working4/3/2023 Basically, it is not a URL without the http part. It may be that is what is missing for your work. The link I added had added to the link of your text. The link I had added in text (not as an actual link), did show up when I closed and reopened. It may be that I have to close the PDF and reopen to get the links active. Anyway, that is just to let you know what I found. Mine is checked, but I still do not see the links in your PDF. There is a setting under the General preferences that asks to create links from general URLs. So you might want to look for the same option in your version. It may do with the settings I have in Acrobat. When I looked at your PDF in AA8 (I did not try my AA9), I saw the links, but had no link capability. The problem is squarely Adobes Fault and they absolutely refuse to fix it else it would have been fixed 15 years ago, if they would not have been so stubborn and went ahead and fixed the problem. and there are difference keyboard short cuts and command name in menus and on the menu bars and ribbon. There are some features not available in the Mac version that is in PC and the reverse is also true. The code for Office2010 PC and Office2011 Mac are identical so far as creating a document. And by not changing a thing and opening in Office2010 PC and the links are active when a PDF is made, also indicates the Word Mac document has the hooks. Now get off your fat backside and fix it.īy going to Pages and the links work is proof the the hooks are there. Okay after 15 years Adobe has proof its an issue with Acrobat Mac. This proves that Office is functioning correctly. Links will be Hot.īy opening the word document in Pages and the links being hot indicates the hooks in Office for links. Make the PDF word Mac the links will be hot. Open the Document in Apple Pages the links will be hot. Take the word Document unedited to a PC version of Word and create the PDF. I'd probably have created it in MS Word where I could have set up the templates, albeit with less design control, and then scripted the automatic generation of the entire document for whatever calendar year I wanted. I would never create a document like this in a program that doesn't have scripting. I've done more than this but only by copying and pasting increasingly large blocks of linked text for testing purposes. Congratulations on breaking the record for the most hyperlinks in a real Publisher document.
